The tribute song “IF YOU WITH IT” by YOSHI, an artist who suddenly passed away at the age of 19 in 2022, will be released today, Wednesday, April 9th. The MV was also released.
This is a tribute song based on an unfinished song that YOSHI had produced during his lifetime, and was completed by producer Matt Cab, who was producing songs with YOSHI at the time, and rapper JP THE WAVY, who breathed new life into it.
This song, planned and produced alongside YOSHI’s documentary “Reiwa Rock Star,” has the fresh vocals of YOSHI as they were when they were produced, and new rapping by JP THE WAVY has been added.
“Reiwa Rockstar” will begin streaming on the video streaming service “FOD” operated by Fuji TV from 0:00am on Thursday, May 15th. Prior to this, YOSHI special exhibition “Reiwa Rock Star” will be held at Laforet Museum Harajuku in Tokyo from Saturday, April 26th to Sunday, May 11th. The exhibition will feature a digest of documentary footage, as well as a variety of artworks drawn by YOSHI and valuable favorite items.

We are honored to be part of the opportunity to make everyone know more about YOSHI’s existence.
We were talking about writing a song together, but it didn’t come true, and it ended up being “I’ll be participating in the unreleased songs he’s written,” but when I heard him before the mix I felt like I was close by, and the lyrics suddenly flooded, and I was able to complete my part soon. I would be happy if many people could listen to it.
