Reiya The PAVE, a project led by Terakubo Reya, announces its first album

It has been announced that Reiya The PAVE, a hotly-held project led by Terakubo Reya, will release their first album, “Reiya The PAVE” on Wednesday, May 14th. In addition, their pre-single singles “In This Freedom” and “Fly Me / I Can’t Help It (feat. NAGAN SERVER)” were streamed today, Wednesday, April 9th.

Terakubo Reiya is a young musician who has attracted attention both domestically and internationally as a trumpeter, vocalist and composer. In addition to supporting numerous artists, he has also been active in a variety of projects, including NS DANCEMBLE with NAGAN SERVER and Block Corporation with HOME’s O-PNG, and has released four singles under his own name.

Formed in 2002, Reiya The PAVE was a project in which Terakubo Reiya serves as trumpet and vocals, leading musicians of his generation.
The band’s name comes from “Parhelion And Vagarious Epoch” and “Pave,” which means “to lay down.”

In this work, which is named after him, he also works as vocals in addition to his trumpet. It is said to organically combine music such as jazz, house, R&B and hip-hop to present a contemporary crossover sound. A variety of guests including Sarasa, Terakubo Elena and NAGAN SERVER will also be featured, and the album artwork will be handled by painter/designer NOVOL.

The pre-single single “Fly Me / I Can’t Help It” features rapper NAGAN SERVER and features a bold arrangement of Michael Jackson’s song “I Can’t Help It” by Stevie Wonder. The other pre-song single, “In This Freedom,” is a track where Terakubo Reya himself performs the vocals.
