Michael Kaneko’s 3rd album “Daydrams” released today. “Legendary Live” video also available.

Michael Kaneko released his new album, “Daydreams,” today, Wednesday, May 29th.

This is his third album, released about two years after his second album “The Neighborhood,” and is a conceptual collaboration with Hanaregumi, Ohashi Trio, Fujiwara Sakura, Sakai Yuu and other gorgeous artists. It contains a wide range of songs, including horizontal groove, 80’s, AOR, and up-tempo numbers for live performances. The lead song “Daydreams,” which is also the album title, is a song full of chill vibes that proves that he is a music lover.

The limited edition CD also includes five live tracks from his solo concert held at WWW X in Shibuya, Tokyo last year. The concert was held at the largest capacity in his career, and in order to fill the venue, he went to bars and cafes himself to put up posters and perform a free live show. He sold tickets one by one by hand, and on his Instagram live he spoke candidly about the feelings he puts into the concert, and together with the many fans who sympathized with him, they waited for the word “sold out” to be read, making it “a legendary concert created by Michael Kaneko and his fans as one.”

I started working on the album “Daydreams” in January of last year. It’s the music I want to make now, the music that only I can make.
I put my soul into every single note.
This is an album that I created by locking myself in a room and listening to music during times of pain, sadness, and happiness.
All the songs are precious to me. I hope you all enjoy them!
