Tamanaramen, a sister audiovisual unit based in Tokyo and London, has released their new single, “Part of U” today, Wednesday, April 23rd.

This song blends together ambient texture and delicate beats, and is a song that encompasses quiet warmth and deep emotions, making it a song that makes you traverse your memories.

This work depicts indescribable feelings, small gestures, and faint connections in everyday life, and contains gentle, pale emotions that make you remember someone at a moment. Behind the soft, swaying beat, there is a rhythm that supports your heart like a beating, giving you a sense of core strength within the floating soundscape.

The lyrics, composition and production are all handled by tamanaramen himself. The world of sound reminiscent of Grouper, Tirzah, Four Tet, and music expresses the margins of nostalgia, kindness, and breathing.

Following his live performances in SXSW (Austin, USA), Berlin, London, and other places, he also appeared in The Lot Radio in New York. Tamanaramen also performed with James K locally, making an impression of his presence in the context of intimate and experimental electronica. Furthermore, the artwork for this work uses photographs taken in New York while he was in his stay, and the air and light from the travel destination are visually contained.
