The collaboration single “Me & I” by producer me-mai with roots in Japan and Taiwan, and Singapore’s SSW Khally was released today, Friday, April 25th.

This song was born last spring when me-mai participated in a colite session in Singapore. The themes are self-discovery, identity, and personal growth. Amidst the conflict that tumbles between fragility and self-assertion, this work vividly depicts the difficulty and process of sticking to one’s own personality, exploring personal growth.

This danceable song combines a mid-tempo beat that gives off a sense of Afrobeats with Khally’s rhythmic, powerful vocals, and as the lyrics “On my, on my, I got things on my mind” show, it calmly sings about the busyness and constant anguish that modern people face.
