Luv, a five-member band born in 2003, releases new song “Jamlady” today


The five-member band luv released their new single “Jamlady” today, Wednesday, May 29th.

Luv, which began its activities in June 2023 based in Kansai, is a new band consisting of five current university students born in 2003: Hiyn (Vo. / Gt.), Zum (Ba.), Rosa (Key.), Sho (Dr.), and Ofeen (DJ.). The band is attracting attention for its sound influenced by black music such as neo soul, funk, jazz, and hip hop, the unique lyrics created by Hiyn, who also works as Miyake Weapon, and the skillful and groovy sound of the members.

As the title suggests, this song is based on the theme of “jam,” a word that means “crowding” as well as “having fun at a party” or “doing well” in slang. The intro uses instruments from around the world, which is meant to convey the idea of ​​”jamming the world.” While the lyrics have a global feel, they are based on the theme of “harmony,” and the song is said to be about pursuing beauty in Japan.
