It has been announced that IRI will release her new single, “Harunone” on Wednesday, May 7th.
This is a pre-single from the new EP “Seek,” scheduled to be released on Wednesday, May 21st. The composition and production was performed by guitarist Nishida Osamu, who has participated in recordings and live performances by many musicians such as Kimijima Daizora, KID FRESINO, Fujii Kaze, and Aimyon, and also composed and arranged Hanaregumi’s “Good Day after the Rain” featuring IRI. In addition, while leading Answer to Remember, CLNUP4, SMTK, Ishiwaka Shun, who has also participated in numerous live shows and works such as Kururi, KID FRESINO, MILLENNIUM PARADE, and Shiina Ringo, has also been credited as drummers.
In a soundscape that boldly incorporates odd-time signatures and combines sophistication and lightness, IRI’s beautiful, stretchy melody line is said to make it feel like the arrival of spring. The lyrics contain a hopeful message that symbolizes a new beginning, and it looks like it will be a song that will brighten up a page of spring that listeners will never forget.
Furthermore, advance reservations for “harunone” have begun today, ahead of the advance streaming. If you make an advance reservation on Apple Music/Spotify by 23:59 on Wednesday, May 6th, you will receive a “Seek visual wallpaper image.” Advance reservations for the new EP “Seek” will also begin on iTunes and Apple Music from 0:00am on Wednesday, May 7th.
The new EP “Seek,” which will be the first in about two years since the album “PRIVATE,” includes four songs woven together with up-and-coming sound producers who are active both domestically and internationally, including “Butterfly,” written by Australian producer Taka Perry, with the theme of “a new journey.”
Kota Matsukawa, who also produced reina and Wez Atlaz, as the founder of the up-and-coming creative collective/label “wau” series, will be composing the music. Also, “otozure” has been composed by Tokyo-based DJ/producer TAAR, who has worked on IRI’s songs many times in the past.
