HUGEN releases 1st mini album “Machi” and holds solo live performances

HUGEN released their first mini album, “Matsu” today, Wednesday, May 7th.

HUGEN is a music project centered around producer/vocal TP (fka. TPSOUND). In just one year since its formation, he has appeared at many music festivals, including “Ringo Music Festival,” “TAMARIBA FESTIVAL,” and “TAMATAMA FESTIVAL,” and also attracted attention for his role in the theme song for NHK’s drama “That I Couldn’t Listen,” as a duet with Terao Saho.

This work contains a total of six songs, including the previous singles “MAYA”, “Pan”, and “Pappidu”. “Sakuragengo,” a focus track, is a song that gives a sense of spring, as TP created it while imagining the cherry blossoms in Kaizu Osaki, Shiga, which his father often showed off. Throughout the album, the album is a work that embodies the alternative HUGEN style, combining folk music and folk songs based on electro music.

In addition, to commemorate the release of this work, a solo live performance will be held at Shimokitazawa SPREAD in Tokyo on Friday, May 11th. Also check it out.
