Arooj Aftab, a genius born in Pakistan, will be held at Billboard Live TOKYO on Tuesday, October 28th and Wednesday, October 29th.

Arooj Aftab was called “the coolest rock star in the world right now” by UNCUT magazine. Last year, he released his fourth solo album, Night Reign, and was nominated for “Best Alternative Jazz Album” at the Grammy Awards. The single “Raat Ki Rani” was selected as “Best Global Music Performance.”

His previous work, Vulture Prince (2021), brought Arooj to the heart of the cultural trends, and his name was also featured on former President Barack Obama’s playlist. The success of the album led to her being nominated for “Best New Artist” at the 2022 Grammy Awards, and also to win a Grammy Award for “Mohabbat.” In recent years, he has appeared in large-scale festivals such as Primavera Sound, Glastonbury, and Coachella, as well as on popular American television shows The Late Show, NPR Tiny Desk, and Later with Jools Holland.
