A new name, chuprima (pronounced by Chuprima), has been launched by Kota Matsukawa, founder of creative label/collective wau. Their first single, “THINK ABOUT U,” was released today, Friday, May 16th.
Kota Matsukawa has produced works for reina, Sarasa, VivaOla, and iri, and has also published works as a dance music project voquote. This project appears to be developing a sound inspired by LA beats. The first recording of “THINK ABOUT U” features a mellow beat with a seductive voice sample and a West Coast scent.
The project will continue to release instrumental songs, focusing on the release of the project. I look forward to more news.
