Tokyo-based hip-hop crew Flat Line Classics has released their new single, “New Deal” today, Wednesday, May 21st.
This work, released by Creative Collective/label, wau, is a member of the same collective.01sailis in charge of producing. The song is a classic yet new “contract renewal” that is a classic yet new.
The beat is simple yet tough. The layers of rough fuzz guitars and gospel-like chorus are filled with the solemnness and mellowness typical of 01sail. The MC’s Mike Relay, which is exchanged on top of that, is filled with tranquil anger and a chilly resignation, but is filled with solid pride.
Flat Line Classics presents a silent proposal to speak in this era. The film was a work that quietly threw people into the current hip-hop scene.
