Half Mile Beach Club (HMBC), a four-member group from Zushi, has released their new single, “Yankees Brew (One Shot Live Session)” today, Friday, May 23rd.
“Yankees Brew” is a completely new song that reconstructs motifs and phrases from the past song era in the band’s latest mode. The new sound that combines the past and present symbolizes the evolution of HMBC today.
“One Shot Live Session” is a series that creates a sense of tension and unique groove by shooting both the video and the sound at once at the same time. This session was recorded in a studio decorated with dimly lit, moody lighting, with a space where night views are reflected through the large windows. The location, which exudes a sense of tranquility and slight oddity, is synchronized with the night feeling of the music. The members who performed naturally brought a unique atmosphere to the night. As a result, the event is a special take that reflects the atmosphere of the night, in addition to the live performance.
In addition, an EP containing four songs from this “One Shot Live Session” series is scheduled to be released in June. The EP also includes a completely new song, and the band’s live performance and realism are packaged in the same package.
HMBC had been focusing on production for the first half of this year, but it is scheduled to resume live performances in July. I would like to keep an eye on future developments.
