Tokyo queer artist Aisho Nakajima has released his new single, “I Kissed a Boy” today, Friday, May 30th.
This is the first release in 2025, and is the third collaboration with producer Yohji Igarashi. This song combines an aggressive house beat that switches from a seductive, majestic intro to a danceable hook, with an underground sensibility and mainstream charm. The lyrics are challenging and addictive, depicting the growing emotions created by accepting curiosity, desire, and identity.
I was confused as to how I thought, “Maybe I like you,” and how I wondered what this feeling was.
The song sings this shaking heart with a sound that seems to be a mixture of electropop and R&B.
