MAHBIE releases new album “HEZING” “MIND BRAIN JOURNEY tracing one’s own memories”

DJ/beat maker MAHBIE will release his new album “HEZING” on May 23rd (Thursday).

MAHBIE was born in Iwate and currently lives in Yamanashi. In addition to DJing and releasing his own beat collections, he has also provided music to various artists, and in recent years has also been active as a Taga-ryu live DJ.

Last year, MAHBIE attracted a lot of attention with the release of the album “FOOD” with the theme of meals and food, a remix EP in which MAHBIE reconstructed unreleased MVTEN material, and “WORDS”, a double-name EP with HAIIRO DE ROSSI. This work, which will be released for the first time in 2024, is said to be an album dedicated to the party “HEZ VIRUS” that he has been creating with his friends for several years since around 2011.

In 2024, MAHBIE unearthed a certain demo beat from an old PC.
It belonged to ROMANCING GABBA, who were working together as HEZ RECORDS in the early 2010s. When he double-clicked the mouse to open the file, an electric shock went through his brain and MAHBIE’s body (100 kg) burned out and disappeared. At the same time, I remembered the glorious and exciting time I spent with my friends from HEZ RECORDS, which has been sealed deep in my memory. MAHBIE, who had become a collective consciousness, headed to the computer to create the song he wanted to make back then.
This album, HEZING, is a MIND BRAIN JOURNEY that traces MAHBIE’s memories.
