SIRUP releases new album "OWARI DIARY" in September, with Ayumu Imazu participating in advance single

The first day performance of SIRUP’s first nationwide tour, “NEXT LIFE TOUR 2025,” was held at Zepp Nagoya on Sunday, June 1st.

In order to express the theme of “NEXT LIFE,” this tour will be taking on new directions and new expressions that have not been shown in previous live shows. In recent years, new unreleased songs have also been performed, which have been produced based on inspiration gained on stages around the world, not just within Japan. The content is ambitious and embodies his musical evolution on stage, and the set list includes a large lineup of representative songs from the past. This is a stage where SIRUP’s “previous” and “for the future” intersect.

In addition, the MC for the performance announced that they will release their third album on Wednesday, September 3rd, which will be their first in about four and a half years. The album, titled “OWARI DIARY,” is said to be a work that goes deeper into emotions, with the theme of “the beginning of the end.” We take a step further from the “positive despair” depicted in the EP “BLUE BLUR” (2023), and this work focuses on how to find hope beyond that. It is said to depict the progression into “NEXT LIFE.”

The package will be released in two formats: CD + Blu-ray and CD only. The Blu-ray will feature a performance from the Yokohama performance of “NEXT LIFE TOUR 2025” to be held at KT Zepp Yokohama in Kanagawa on Thursday, June 5th.

In addition, ahead of the album release, the pre-release single “UNDERCOVER feat. Ayumu Imazu” following “RENDEZVOUS feat. hard life” has been decided to be released on Wednesday, June 25th. This was his first collaboration with Ayumu Imazu, who has been friends with private life for a long time, and the sound production was done by Taka Perry, just like “RENDEZVOUS feat. hard life.” This song features a modern-day way of moving back and forth between “outside faces” and “near faces” in social media society, and features smooth vocals from SIRUP and Ayumu Imazu, and is said to be a stylish R&B dance track with sophisticated beats and smooth grooves that stand out.

Furthermore, the song has also been decided to be a new online commercial for Mizuhashi Hojudo Pharmaceutical’s “Tone Up UV Medicinal Mera Protect.”

The tour is a challenging composition, with all the songs included in the album being performed, making it a valuable opportunity to experience the album’s worldview early at the venue. In addition, special guests have also been confirmed to appear at the Yokohama performance on Thursday, June 5th and the Osaka performance on Thursday, July 10th, and attention is also being paid to the special collaboration.
