Hikaru Utada's English reprint version of "Kingdom Hearts" will be released

It has been announced that Hikaru Utada will release her new single “Simple And Clean (Re-Recording)” on Wednesday, May 22nd.

Hikaru Utada’s release of her first best album “SCIENCE FICTION” is still fresh in our minds. The same album also became a hot topic as it included a re-recorded version of “Hikari”, which is also popular as the theme song of “Kingdom Hearts”, but this time, the re-recorded version of “Simple And Clean”, also known as the English version, has become a hot topic. A recorded version will be distributed.

The surprise release of the song has been decided to coincide with the announcement of the three titles that will be released on Steam in June, allowing you to enjoy all 10 titles in the Kingdom Hearts series at once. Additionally, in conjunction with this announcement, the Steam version announcement trailer for the Kingdom Hearts series featuring “Simple And Clean (Re-Recording)” will be premiered at 0:00 on Wednesday, May 22nd.

We enlisted the help of our friend and collaborator AG Cook to take on the big challenge of re-recording a song that has been popular for years. The new version of “Hikari”/”Simple and Clean” is a song I wrote 22 years ago, but it comes from a different place and from a different perspective.

Contemplative, thoughtful, more gentle. There are no wins or losses in life; there are things you gain from experience. We look forward to starting over again as we remember what many people around the world have received through Kingdom Hearts.
