The double-named single “Alter Ego (feat. Sorane)” by SOMAOTA and Funny Factures was released today, Wednesday, June 4th.
He is the MC of Black petrol, a hip-hop collective in Kansai, who has been renowned for his appearances at “SUMMER SONIC 2023”, “FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL’24”, and one of China’s largest festivals, “STRAWBERRY MUSIC FESTIVAL”, and has also performed at numerous festivals in Taiwan, including “Neon Oasis Fest.’24 Xiang Yuezhou Music Festival”, “A Tropical Vol. 2”, and “Yui no Oto 2025”.
Meanwhile, Funny Factures is an electronic music project by drummer/producer Koji Shibano. So far, they have also published collaborations with various artists.
This work, which is co-composed by both of them, features a song featuring rapper Sorane as the guest performer. This is the first time that SOMAOTA has collaborated with Sorane in about four years since Black petrol “Street Gig feat. Sorane.” It is a memorable work that features memorable clubs and live houses such as CIRCUS Osaka, Kyoto Metro, and Namba Hatch, which both performed live shows in their late teens.
