A two-man live performance by Friday Night Plans, a duo formation by Jim O’Rourke, the master of experimental music, and a variety of expressions to ambient environmental music, will be held at WALL & WALL in Omotesando, Tokyo on Saturday, August 2nd at WALL & WALL in Omotesando, Tokyo.
Jim O’Rourke is a Grammy Award-winning producer and a leading creator of the American music scene. Ishibashi Eiko is a musician who works in a wide range of fields, including releasing experimental electronic music from prestigious artists, exhibiting music at museums, and creating film music. It has also been highly praised as an electronic duo that changes its appearance in a way that can be transformed.
Friday Night Plans covers Takeuchi Mariya’s “Plastic Love” and has received high praise both domestically and internationally for its outstanding perfection. His 2018 debut song, “Happy Birthday,” attracted attention for his advanced songs and deep singing voices reminiscent of UK R&B, and the following year, “HONDA” was featured in the “HONDA VEZEL” commercial song. In production with Ena, which started in 2021, they incorporated skits and glitches into expressive techniques to create ambient environmental music that resides in a vocal spirit, and in 2023 they released their album “Visitors.”
