TAEYO released their new single “Outside/Pulse” today, Friday, June 13th.
This is the first time under the name TAEYO has released a sound source for about a year and 10 months. It has been nine months since the previous film’s EP under the name Taeyoung Boy – the thoughts and sensations accumulated during the silence began to move on with this project.
This work is a single consisting of two songs, built with different producers. “Outside” is a song that blends a floating feeling with an organic mood. The faint, oozing vocals and the gradually expanding sound image depict memories and afterimages of the city. Produced by Droittte and LR unit DRLR. He co-written with TAEYO on “Same Tat” and has worked with Droittte for many years. Even in this work, the trustworthy relationship supports the delicate and deep sound.
The pair “Pulse” was produced by haqu. He is also an ally who has been together since the early days of TAEYO, and his simple yet sophisticated melody and drums shine. On a sharp rhythm and a beat with a margin, the speed of words and will vividly cut through the space, filled with tension.
Furthermore, engineer murozo recorded, mixed and mastered both songs. He has been a trusted partner who has worked together on two albums and has been involved in many songs, and has also become an important player in designing the contours and atmosphere of the sound in this work.
This work is said to be the beginning that leads to the EP scheduled to be released in July. In this project, which depicts tension, release and its ambiguous boundaries with sound, these two songs mark the beginning of a new phase as the first breath.
