It has been announced that ASOUND will release their new single, “Summer Dreams” on Wednesday, July 2nd.
This is the first new song in about six months since the previous album, “Love is Kagero,” and as the title suggests, it is a summer tune perfect for summer. The artwork with impressive butterflies was taken by photographer Shimada Ayaeka, who is also friends with the members. This is one of the pictures from a solo trip around Mexico, and commented, “In the strong sunlight, this is a picture of me desperately chasing beautiful butterflies that appeared in front of me with a feeling of confidence, anxiety and strong curiosity under the strong sunlight.”
The title letters are by Reoki Toyoshima. “When drawing the lettering on the jacket, I felt anxious and dreamy about summer. I drew my brush as a heartbeat. No matter how old I am, summer is great. It’s a song that reminds me of that again,” he commented.
Furthermore, with the release of this work, a solo live performance of “ASOUND “Summer Dreams”” has been decided to be held at Shibuya WWW, Tokyo on Tuesday, August 5th. This is the first time that a solo live performance has been held in about a year since August last year. Advance ticket pre-orders begin today at noon.
