Kilodey24, a native of Ireland and currently based in Taiwan, released his first vocal project, “Digital Star,” today, Wednesday, June 18th.
Kilodey24 was of Romanian descent and educated in Ireland, France and Taiwan. Taking inspiration from its diverse cultural background, it has attracted attention for its unique sound style that connects the East and West. He has collaborated with Japanese artists so far, including the collaboration EP “No Talking” with rapper Lymph, which was released last September.
This work is a 14-minute condensed work consisting of eight songs. It features impressive tracks sampled sounds from various countries, giving you a glimpse into the creative soundscape of kilodey24.
“I’m always a visual person. I look at it first before I listen to music. When an idea comes up, I first look at every corner of the world and inspire the sound it eventually creates” (kilodey24).
Through music production, kilodey24 explores themes such as communication, loneliness, and identity. The film also explores topics such as biblical fear, conscience, and divinity, and his unique story cements his presence.
