iri performed at Tokyo’s hall tour “iri Hall Tour 2025 “Seek”” at Tokyo International Forum Hall A on Monday, June 16th.
Prior to this tour, they announced their new EP “Seek,” which will be their first packaged work in about two years, in May. As if to summarise his own activities, he went on to work in 2024, when he successfully completed his first performance in Nippon Budokan, and in this work, which is based on the theme of “a new journey,” he collaborated with up-and-coming sound producers who are active both domestically and internationally. The excitement that emerged from the new sounds and the encounters depicted by lyrics and the first step towards a new environment was fresh and dynamic on the stage that day.
“I’ve had a huge change in my feelings since around the end of last year. The changes I’ve had up until now have come naturally along with the passage of time, the surrounding situation, and the environment, but since the end of last year, I’ve started to want to change myself. I’ve stepped into things I had avoided up until now, and I think there’s a newer self ahead of me. While trying out a lot like this, I was making this EP.” Speaking during the MC, she also performed four new EPs, including “Butterfly,” a gentle singing voice and lo-fi hip-hop beat that gently blends in, and “river,” which accelerates emotions towards the mellow first half to second half, as well as many famous songs, including “Faster than me,” the theme song for the drama “I Know The Shapes of Love,” which was performed for the first time in the live show, “I Want to Me,” and “Wonderland,” which recorded an unusual viral hit.
His singing voice and his behavior on stage gave him a sense of unprecedented lightness and strength. This tour, which consists of 10 performances, from the final day of Tokyo LINE CUBE SHIBUYA on Monday, July 21st (a national holiday), will likely be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to meet iri, who is in the midst of major changes.
