SE SO NEON will release their new single “Remember!” today, Friday, June 20th. The music video he directed himself was also released.
SE SO NEON is a band led by producer, multiplayer and singer Soyoon. Like “Twit Winter” released in May, this is a pre-sized single from the new album “NOW”, scheduled to be released on Friday, August 15th. “Everyone should feel my energy and soul,” says Soyoon, “NOW” mainly speaks of Korean, but is still modern and deeply connected to nature, and is a work that transcends language barriers and resonates with it.
“Remember!” is co-produced by Soyoon and Jon Nellen, an artist known for co-writing with Nick Hakim. The mix is handled by Nathan Boddy, an engineer who worked on Pink Pantheress and Geordie Greep. The structure, which involves a large emotional ups and downs, travels between introspective tranquility and powerful peaks, conveys a nostalgic theme and a heartwarming atmosphere.
Soyoon said about the film, “I sometimes understand myself through the death of others,” and revealed that he was deeply inspired by his breakup with Sakamoto Ryuichi, who he was a friend of.

[Soyoon Comments]
Sadly, I sometimes understand myself through the death of others. I think the impact is probably because I have not experienced much death myself. When Sakamoto Ryuichi, a friend, mentor and respected musician, passed away, I didn’t want to forget the feelings I felt. Through his death, he developed a determination to not forget who he is, and to surrender himself completely to time and music, in his support. And remembering him means keeping this feeling.
