It has been announced that JUMADIBA will release its new mixtape “IEGUMO” on Wednesday, July 9th.
This is the third mixtape in about three years since Nobori was released in 2022. It is said that this work was born naturally in this minimalist everyday life, with small rooms, rubbing sounds of everyday life, and repeated scenes. Music playing at home, casual conversations with friends, quiet nighttime. The accumulation of these things becomes the sound, and the “time” that JUMADIBA alone is crystallized as a mixtape, not the “time” that he spent with his friends.
Allies Lil Soft Tennis and ShowyVICTOR participated in the guest performances. The producers are credited by former friend Gen Yamada, who worked on the pre-single single “Haku” from the mixtape, George Bolton, also producer of “Kanda River,” as well as London producer JD. Reid, who has provided music to numerous artists including London-based Nathaniel London, slowthai and Mahalia, and Tuze from Turkey. The composition is 14 songs, including works produced by JUMADIBA themselves, which are made up of sounds based on their own sensibilities.
Words and beats emitted from limited spaces extend beyond time and place. “IEGUMO” is a small reality, a huge chunk of time born from everyday life. Here, JUMADIBA’s “now” continues to slid through the city of Tokyo, like the wind, like clouds, and is engraved here.
