Kinami releases new alternative-pop punk song “HOMEWRECKER”

Okinawa-born bilingual SSW Kinami has released her new single, “HOMEWRECKER” today, Wednesday, June 25th.

This is the first new song under his own name in about two years, and is a modern version of the distrack aimed at ex-lovers who send out fake contacts despite their family. “HOMEWRECKER” literally means “a person who destroys a family.” The edgy guitar reminiscent of Avril Lavigne and Katy Perry from the early 2000s and the dense vocals intersect, depicting the conflict and sarcasm of a woman who is misunderstood as an “adult partner” with humor. The alternative-pop-punk sound that fits perfectly with the theme of the song is refreshing, and the lyrics also highlight the strong, Kinami-like womanhood, saying, “If you’re misunderstood, just turn it into a song.”

Kinami said its first tour held in Tokyo and Okinawa in March was a packed success, and has temporarily moved to London and is currently working on the second EP, “TO BE SEEN TO BE LOVED,” scheduled to be released in July. We would like to pay attention to future trends as well.
