SIRUP releases collaboration music video with Ayumu Imazu, full-scale action by Izawa Saori

SIRUP will release their new single “UNDERCOVER feat. Ayumu Imazu” today, Wednesday, June 25th. The MV was also released.

SIRUP recently announced that it will release its first original album in about two years, “OWARI DIARY,” on Wednesday, September 3rd, and is currently holding a nationwide tour, “NEXT LIFE TOUR 2025.” This is a collaboration with Ayumu Imazu, a global artist known for being a global viral hit of “Obsessed,” released in 2024. The first collaboration between the two, who are close friends in their private lives, has finally come to fruition.

The sound production was performed by Taka Perry, a native of Australia, following his previous work, after RENDEZVOUS feat. hard life. Smooth vocals from SIRUP and Ayumu Imazu cross the theme of the modern era of moving between “outside faces” and “near faces” in social media society. It is a stylish R&B dance track with sophisticated beats and smooth grooves.

The music video is directed by Kamoshita Taiki, the video director who has worked on music videos and commercials for many artists. Ayumu Imazu also appears, and actor Izawa Ayaori, who is a stunt performer in the films “Kingdom” and “Rurouni Kenshin: Final Chapter”, and stars in the “Baby Walukyure” series. It is a video work that brings together a gorgeous cast.

The video is a story-like story, depicting the “online self” and “offline self” who are separated by social media as different people with the same face. The theme of “self-conflict” reflects feelings of conflict and anguish. The action by Izawa Ayaori and the dance scenes of SIRUP x Ayumu Imazu choreographed by Ayumu Imazu are also worth noting.
