Hasunuma Shuta Philharmonic, led by musician Hasunuma Shuta, released his new recording of “Vanish, Memoria (open-air recording mix)” on Bandcamp today, Friday, July 4th.
This song is an impressive, open and delicate sound that makes use of outdoor recordings, and the organic ensemble unique to Hasunuma Shuta Philharmonic is a finish that gives it a more vibrant feel. The recording and mixing are handled by Kubo Jiro and Kasai Toshihiko. In addition, the profits from this song will be donated to Palestinian support organizations.
Starting with this release, Hasunuma will be engaged in a variety of creative activities in July. The capacity has already been closed, but on Saturday, July 5th, a live performance was held in collaboration with artist Kobayashi Nanao at Yutaka Kikutake Gallery Kyobashi in Tokyo, and on the following Sunday, the 6th, she appeared at the event “PCRF in Tokyo: Performance and Talk” hosted by the Palestine Children’s Relief Fund.
In addition, the fourth installment of the music series of NHK E-Tele’s popular program “Designa Neo” will be released on Monday the 7th, and the background music project he is working on at Daikanyama Tsutaya Bookstore will be updated to a new playlist on Tuesday the 8th, and the release of the currently released film “Ka “” Ku “” Shi “” and “”” in which Hasunuma Shuta participates in the sound will also be released on Wednesday the 9th.
Furthermore, the song co-written with musician Haino Keiji, who has performed together in the past, is finally scheduled to be released on Friday, July 11th, and a video of the announcement for the performance of the Hasunuma Shuta Philharmonic x BNT2025, which will be held at BLUE NOTE TOKYO on Tuesday, August 5th, will be released in mid-July, and new developments in various fields of music, video and live performances will continue.
In addition, the exhibition “Immersive Theater New Japonism,” in which Hasunuma is in charge of music, is currently being held at the Tokyo National Museum until Sunday, August 3rd. The “Designa Exhibition Neo” which I’m participating as a music director is also being held at TOKYO NODE until September 23rd (Monday, public holidays), and the release of analog records and digital audio sources exclusive to the venue is also being held.
[Comment by Hasunuma Shuta]
“Vanish, Memoria” was included in the solo album “unpeople” released in 2023 from the concert performance “Kioku | Vanish, Memoria” held at Ebisu Garden Hall in December 2022. We have changed shape and took continuous action. In 2025, everyone from the Hasunuma Shuta Philharmonic will record this song in an open space outdoors, and will now be releasing it as an “open-air recording version.”
The entire profit will be donated to support organizations for the Gaza Strip, deducting the technical costs of the music production and artwork. We are currently considering donation destinations and will be made public once they are decided.
