AssToro, an artist who conveys the street feel of the digital age, will hold a solo live performance at Shibuya WWW in Tokyo on Wednesday, September 17th. It has undergone a significant scale-up from the solo show at CIRCUS TOKYO at the end of last year.
AssToro began operations on SoundCloud around 2020. He was once a member of the Trash Angels and is now a member of the TMJClub, showing his talent while continuing his activities at will, leading to the excitement of the Digicore scene in Japan. A new generation of rappers who have attracted attention from various angles, including detailed glitch sounds that utilize the iPhone and Garageband, a fleeting melody sense, and a poetry world of sinuous and glossy lyrics.
Despite his impression of being a silent and free-kies, he has continued his energetic activities, and has released numerous singles including albums such as “assimilation”, “Self-Assertive”, EPs “Dusk Always With U”, and “grotesquegrandmother”, and at the end of last year, his first solo show in his career was a success.
This performance, which will be his second solo live performance in his career, will be a day when he will broaden the internet aesthetics of 2020’s and beyond, where he will explore a relaxed, “Weird Gothic” mood, with a hip-hop interpretation of the internet aesthetics that mixes scum and aesthetics.
