DÉ DÉ MOUSE has announced that it will release its new EP, “Just Brokenhearted” on Wednesday, July 23rd. In addition, the pre-single single “Fallin’ in” was released today, Wednesday, July 9th.
DÉ DÉ MOUSE has been releasing a number of collaborations in recent years. Under his sole name, this is the first new EP in about five years, and is said to have been produced as a spin-off, with the 8th album “be yourself” (2018) and the 9th album “Nulife” (2019).
The pre-single single “Fallin’ in” is a memorable song with a recurring catchy melody that makes you want to hum. It looks like a phrase sample of a sweet song from a Doo-Wop chorus group. It is a Future Disco/Future Funk/French House with an extremely compressed, bounced filter house groove full of Y2K, and it is an embodying the euphoria of the beginning of love.
The artwork is by 7ZEL, just like “be yourself.” A mouse logo that looks like a record label, based on the mouse mask depicted in “be yourself.”
The music video is Yoshida Rinne, who also appeared in the music video for “Heartbeat” (a song from “be youself”), and plays the role seven years after the film in a fresh, refreshing way in the same location.
