mashoe’ has changed its name to Mashoe and has made its first major debut single “All I Need” released today

mashoe’ changed its name to Mashoe and made his major debut on dreamusic. Their first single, “All I Need,” was released today, Wednesday, July 9th.

Mashoe has deep roots in black music such as R&B and funk, and also works on his own track creation. As the lyrics say in the phrase “If you can’t find it and continue to be able to meet me, just kill me,” this song is a song that expresses the excessive amount of love instinctively, and is a straightforward expression of “Sugar Love,” which once you get hooked, you can’t get out of it, using emotions that swirl through his inner self. In terms of performance, Ovall’s Shingo Suzuki (Ba.) and Sekiguchi Shingo (Gt.) are also credited with lyrics by Hiro-a-key (origami PRODUCTIONS).

The music video is visually appealing and delves deeper into the world of the song. The structure, based on American comic-like illustrations, is played in a narrative format, and never boring the viewer, and the stylish music and video are beautifully combined. It offers a visual experience that further highlights Mashoe’s expressiveness as an artist.

[Mashoe Comments]

It is a straightforward and danceable song, with some gimmicks mixed in here and there, making it a song that is worth listening to. The bass and guitars by the two of Ovall are also amazing, so be sure to listen to them while dancing!

[Lineer Notes by Amano Fumiaki]

“If you can’t find him and continue to see him, just kill him.” – Why does this love song sing about excessively obsessive love, even pop out of such phrases, but resonate with such a refreshing and sweetness? One thing I can say is that Mashoe’s “Al I Need” does not have room for regret or sentiment. There are missing or unfulfilled. However, this song does not require listeners to lick each other’s wounds. They don’t seek friendship or collusion. “Al I Need” simply depicts the instantaneous image of life burning in the instincts of seeking something to love. He screams for what he wants, and even holds his own stupidity, he burns with his life. A world of love for a single human being, yet complete, despite its lack. That’s why this song is refreshing and beautiful.
The sound that poses reality more powerfully than sweet empathy tells us that Mashoe will continue to carry on the slutty energy that funk, soul, disco and hip-hop of the 1960s and 1980s in 2025. Above all, I feel the presence of Prince deep inside Mashoe. Like that great prince who has continued to evolve his own uniqueness in his fierce communication desire and character, Mashoe will also evolve his own unique life — I want to see a future like this.
