Nagoya rapper Lymph and Taiwan-resident producer Kilodey stream a single containing two songs

The new single “Squall / Sweat Pants” by Nagoya-based rapper Lymph and producer Kilodey, who has Ireland roots and is now based in Taiwan, was released today, Wednesday, July 9th.

Kilodey’s tracks have established a unique musicality that sets it apart from the mainstream of the Japanese music scene today, with the fragmented, emotional lyrics and unique flow of Nagoya-based Lymph. They are developing projects that focus on the importance of “conversation” in modern society where “expression” is lost and isolation is on the rise. Following the EP “No Talking,” released last year, the series has developed a unique style that combines sample-based beats with bold lyrics.

The two songs, “Squall” and “Sweat Pants,” are based on “Jerk,” which has gained popularity in recent years, but still offer a different approach. “Squall” is a song that combines Japanese ambient music with UK IDM, and is a lyric song that expresses the urge to “connect” on an unusual track.

Meanwhile, “Sweat Pants” has a light summer-like Jerk sound, with detailed woven samples and textures overlapping, giving it a catchy sound.
