FiJA releases the music video of the title song, filmed in documentary form from his first album, “Fragile Thing.”

FiJA will release their first album, “Fragile Thing,” on Friday, July 18th. At the same time, the music video for the album’s title song will be premiered.

SSW FiJA receives love calls from musicians both in Japan and abroad with his soulful singing voice. In recent years, he has been vocal for the large afrobeat band aTak, and has also attracted attention as he was featured in the song “Bad Bye” from Kuroda Takuya’s latest album “EVERYDAY,” which was released in February this year.

The music video for “Fragile Thing” is directed by Takashi Okawa, who also worked on the collaboration EP “WAGAMAMA” by FiJA & KOYANMUSIC, and the artwork for this work “Fragile Thing.”

This film, which sang about the fragility of “love,” featured FiJA’s own family and friends as the cast, and filmed in a documentary style. FiJA spent time without meeting the cast until the day of filming, and met again in the filming studio for the first time in a long time. The moment they meet, they come to mind the embarrassing expressions, a big smile, and an indescribable gaze. The invisible form of love created by the interactions between each other is recorded as a video.

What emerges through the work is FiJA’s roots and personal memories. The image of FiJA’s “love” woven through sound will gently envelop the hearts of the recipients.

The album “Fragile Thing” is a work that FiJA himself also worked in art direction and completed. It will be released not only on distribution but also on CDs, so why not pick it up?

[FiJA Comments]

The first album that exposed one’s heart is finally released!
“Fragile Thing,” which became the album’s title track, is a song that honestly expresses the loneliness of the mind and physical gap between you and your loved one. And it was a special song that made me find my sound, so I made this song the title track. I have released singles and collaborations up until now, but with this album I faced my own “voice” head on. Not only did the pitch I was not good at, but also the words, the texture that suited the meaning of the words, and the amount of force that was released, were directed in detail by producer Rin, and we studied my own voice and took our time to record the sound.

As for the sound side, I’m not good at complicated things, so I just expressed my current melody that I can do. As I introduced the songs I made with acoustic guitar into the tracks with Rin, it became a borderless album, which makes it seem like they’re all in different genres. These songs are luxuriously mixed with studio recording and typing, and are created with attention to detail in the sound. I hope you enjoy the sounds of Pop, Electro, Gospel, Rock, Jazz, R&B etc through my “voice”!

[Takashi Okawa Comment]

As I got older, I started to think more and more about myself, “Other people have other people’s lives.” I’ve come to believe that whether it’s a tomojin around me, a partner, a parent, or even if I spend the same time nearby, they’re not completely “joined.” This may be a bit of a circle, but in other words, I’ve come to feel that there is “distance.” But I’m not saying that in a negative way. There is a small “distance” there, so I think people are barely able to live in this way by moving their legs, studying, trying to convey it, and being grateful to fill it. At least I am.

When I first heard this song, FiJA said, “I wonder if he was singing to someone specific,” and my imagination thrived, but at the same time, this sense of distance that I feel on a daily basis overlapped with. I hope that people will somehow understand their feelings, and that even if their strength and shape are different, they will nourish them, such as the hopes and feelings that will help them continue to live their lives in the future. With that in mind, I filmed this music video. It’s become abstract, but that’s what it is.
