Normane Trio (pronounced by Beatmaker/producer Mori Zentaro) has launched alter ego. His first collection of works, “Songs For Heartland,” was released today, Wednesday, July 23rd.
Mori Zentaro is a member of artist collective Soulflex and has produced and provided music for a wide range of artists, including SIRUP, iri, MALIYA, V6, and 7ORDER. Normane Trio is a project that explores more acoustic and experimental musicality, including electronica/ambient.
The first collection of works, “Songs For Heartland,” was produced as office music by the Heartland Group (head office: Osaka City, Osaka Prefecture, representative: Okubo Akinobu). Based on influences from artists around his beloved Warp Records, post-classical and film music, it depicts an emotional world of sound.
It contains a total of 12 songs, including “Tapetum,” which also has a lo-fi hip-hop texture, “Digit,” which features acoustic guitar sounds, and the serene solo piano song “Time Tone.” The film is a work that gives you a sense of the story throughout the entire album.
The project name, “Normane Trio,” is an anagram of “Mori Zentaro,” and does not have any specific meaning and represents the arbitrary and abstract musicality of the project. We would like to pay attention to future trends as well.
