PARKGOLF releases new EP “FOLK JUMP” for the first time in four years

PARKGOLF has released their new EP, “FOLK JUMP,” today, Friday, July 25th.

Since his previous album, Totem, PARKGOLF has worked on a wide range of production and arrangements, including remixes and arrangements for Hey! Say! JUMP. This new album, the first in about four years, includes five songs, including the pre-single single “JUMP.” I went back to my original intentions and completed an instrumental listening work. The song “Shooting Star,” packed with spectacular and strange sounds, is said to have written a fantasy about the events he experienced while staying in India for about a month.

The inorganic nature of glitches and other things are mixed with organic, folk art motifs, creating a unique sound that combines strangeness and pop. The finely chopped beats, bouncing melody, and intentionally sparsely processed space create a cool, light listening experience.

The artwork is done by artist Nico Ito. The visuals are humorous and strange in sync with the title of the work, with the appearance of shrimp and people bouncing the river, with the film’s title being a CG-like texture that makes it seem like live-action.
