The Happyts will release their new single, “Flip Flops” on Friday, August 1st.
Last year, The Congratulations released the album “COLLECT10N” to commemorate the 10th anniversary of its formation, and held a solo live performance at WWW, Tokyo. This year, he has appeared at the Hibiya Music Festival 2025 and OCEAN PEOPLES’25, and has been active in the eagerness of his career, including making an appearance at the ONE PARK HANGOUT FES 2025, which will be held in Toyama Prefecture, where he was formed, in October.
This song, “Flip Flops” (translated by Beach Flops) is a song created every year on August 3rd, with the theme of “Beach Flops Day.” It is produced as a listener-participatory project entitled “#ProjectOME”, and is a song that was literally created with listeners, including posting several demo tracks on social media, recruiting ideas for anniversary, and publishing lyrics that are scheduled to be recorded in advance to collect opinions. A chill sound reminiscent of the quiet waves that surge onto the beach in the evening, and a lyric that depicts two pairs of flip-flops as if they were important to friends, lovers, and family — a fleeting summer song by The Congratulations has been born here.

Additionally, on Saturday, November 8th, the anniversary of the formation, an additional performance of “The Happy 10th Anniversary Tour “Shopping Tour: Tokyo and Osaka Tomi Edition”” will be held at WWW X, Shibuya, Tokyo, on which tickets have been sold out.
