The original song “Chan Pool!” by the “THE LUV BUGS” project will be released today, Wednesday, July 30th. The MV was also released.
“THE LUV BUGS” is a creative tech label co-created by artists who will be responsible for the next generation of music scenes and audiences who love their music. It started last fall as a project in which various artists intersect, moving back and forth between real events, virtual events, and digital releases.
This is the sixth release, and is a collaboration between Kitamura Tsubasa, a multi-artist with a talk of musicality that mixes a variety of genres, including dance music, jazz, folk, and electronica, and Tomgg, who is engaged in his own unique activities, from collaborations both domestically and internationally to advertising music, with the theme of “music that’s extremely fun.” This is the long-awaited first collaboration for the two who have been connected through the work, with Kitamura Tsubasa taking part in Tomggg’s remix contest in the past.
This summer song features freeform melody, loose pop lyrics and tribal beats. The music video is directed by JACKSON Kaki, and in the world of mysterious chimeric monsters created using AI, dances, personal glasses, which are the charming points of the two, appear as key items. As the title suggests, “Chan Pool!”, it is a chaotic and cluttered music video.
“THE LUV BUGS” is also constantly streaming podcasts introducing the personalities of participating artists. The second VRChat event will also be held on “Bug Day” on Saturday, August 9th. In addition, more releases and announcements are expected this summer.
