Rapper 7AWERA and beatmaker Tatwoine will release their collaboration album “EARHEART” on Wednesday, August 6th.
7AWERA is a rapper who belongs to Tokyo hip-hop collective ONENESS and Near Side Philadelmiya, a group based in Tochigi. He has been actively releasing his collective works and solo works, with his trademark stable bass rap.
Tatwoine is a beatmaker from Niigata and is currently based in Tokyo. He has produced sample-based sounds that digest the influence of the current Boombop in America, and has released many solo beat tapes and collaborations with rappers. In addition, they also provide beats to works such as MASS-HOLE and ERA.
This collaboration was made possible by introducing Abokado, a music blogger/writer living in Niigata who has worked with ONENESS. When Tatwoine visited a club event in Niigata, she told Avokado, who had been at the same event, that she wanted to perform with 7AWERA.
The album was first produced by Tatwoine using only beats to create a tracklist, and then 7AWERA picked up what Tatwoine wanted to create and put on rap. This is a piece that allows you to enjoy the combination of Tatwoine’s beat, which has a hard-boiled nuance, with mellow sampling, and the heavy rap of 7AWERA. The guest performances include Ramon Castro, ONENESS, MVTEN and STRIZE. The mix and mastering was done by JUMANJI’s YAB, and the artwork was done by RiA, an artist active both in Japan and abroad.
The title is a coined word combining “EAR” and “HEART.” It also features the name of Amelia Earhart, an American female aviator who disappeared while on the flight, and the artwork is said to be inspired by her.

This time I created this with the aim of “a straight rap for myself.” I would be happy if the show gradually spreads all over the country, and inevitably more offers for live shows. Honestly, I want to make more money.
[Tatwoine Comments]
I tried to create a simple beat rather than flashy one, with 7AWERA’s rap being the best shape, and it would be more of a simple beat. If the beet is a tart dough, it’s like a fruit with the wrap on top of it. This is my first time working with 7AW, so I hope you enjoy the fact that this combination will become addictive.
