This is a remix project to commemorate the first anniversary of the release of the album “Days of the Ocean Waves,” released last year, and the release of the analog record. In addition to offerings to artists and musicians they respect, it also includes self-remixes by the members themselves. In addition to a total of six songs, each original song is reconstructed with a different personality, the composition includes bonus tracks that can be enjoyed only by analog disc purchasers.
In addition, “Sugar Vista – Hugo LX Remix” will be streamed as a pre-single from this work, starting today, Friday, August 1st. The club track is a gem by beatmaker and producer Hugo LX, based in Paris, France, with a new groove in the original song.

[Half Mile Beach Club Comments]
The Half Mile Beach Club project has long been a style of working across both live houses and clubs. With our roots in mind, I think that by being able to reconstruct “Days of the Ocean Waves” as a remixed work, we were able to express this in a way that once again overlaps with our original stance that we originally started out as a party project and worked with a variety of people involved.
Regarding the selection of a remixer, we have made offers mainly for artists who have been in touch with us for a while and musicians who our members respect. What was particularly impressive was that Hugo LX, which we contacted for the first time, commented that we loved our hometowns in Zushi and Hayama, and that we had visited. It was a very pleasant experience to have such strange connections created through music.
Furthermore, through this remix project, it seems that the songs are reconstructed by another artist, and new possibilities have been presented in the phrases and arrangements that the members have come up with. These realizations will surely be used as good inspiration for future work creations.
And I would be happy if this project led us to have a work called “Days of the Ocean Waves” that we released spread to the ears of those who have not yet arrived.
