Cornelius, “Sauna Lover, Deeper” from the album “Ethereal Essence”

Cornelius will release his album “Ethereal Essence” on Wednesday, June 26th, and the pre-release single “Sauna Lover Too Much, Deeper” was released today, Friday, May 24th.

Cornelius is celebrating his 30th anniversary as a solo artist this year. The album “Ethereal Essence” is a reconstruction of his recent ambient works. The album mainly consists of re-edited and re-recorded songs, and many of them are first-time releases, making it a work close to Cornelius’ original album.

Following the release of “Sketch For Spring” in April, the second single from the album, “Sauna Love Too Much, More Deeply”, is a new version of “Sauna Love Too Much”, which was released in 2019 as the theme song for the TV Tokyo drama “Sauna Road”. A music video by Tanaka Katsuki, the original author of “Sauna Road”, was also released to coincide with the release.

Cornelius will hold their first live concert in China in May, and will hold a concert to celebrate their 30th anniversary in July at Tokyo Garden Theater and ROHM Theater Kyoto.
