Yunoa releases new song “drowning” depicting sensational time alone in the bedroom

New artist Yunoa released his new single “drowning” today, Wednesday, May 29th.

Yunoa has been familiar with western music, mainly soul music, since childhood due to the influence of his parents, and has been posting cover songs on social media since he was in high school. This second single depicts the sensational time he spends alone in his bedroom. By listening to music alone in bed, he turns his eyes away from the real world and sinks into his own world, and expresses the “many negative voices” he hears in his head every night. Although the content is a continuation of his previous work “sadless,” this one is thoroughly pessimistic and separates himself from the real world. In addition, “drowning” is a complete change from the calm and cold vocal impression of the previous work, and features an aggressive dark pop sound with a variety of vocal work.

The artwork was done by Classic 6, just like the previous album. The cover art is based on a creature that does not actually exist, and was created using AI. At first glance it may seem strange and unorthodox, but it also exudes a sense of connection and warmth that makes it seem like a living organism, evoking the image of Yunoa herself, or someone lurking in her heart.

Yunoa has just recently announced that she will join NAQT VANE, a team project led by composer and music producer Hiroyuki Sawano, as a vocalist. We hope to see her activities with NAQT VANE in addition to her solo activities.
