Ada & pedestrian, two artists who grew up in Zushi, release their first collaborative EP "FOCUS"

Pedestrian, a bassist/beatmaker based in Zushi, and Ada, an MC and DJ also from Zushi, will release their first collaborative EP, “FOCUS,” on Friday, May 31st.

Ada began her career as a rapper in 2015. She is active mainly in Yokohama and Tokyo. She was the runner-up in the UMB2016 Kanagawa Preliminary. As a DJ, she plays at music bars, apparel pop-ups, restaurants, and more in addition to clubs.

On the other hand, pedestrian is a member of slugger PRODUCTION and has produced songs for SANABAGUN.’s Liberal aka Iwama Toshiki, Eminata, Som, and others. He also provides music for branding videos for companies and shops and appears at various events as a player.

This album contains three songs: “Trust me”, “Came from” and “LLIM”. Prior to the release, the music video for “Trust me” was released, featuring Ada’s straightforward lyrics over a slow beat. The director was Shota Tsuji, who also worked on music videos for 018’s “JUNGLE” and Sala’s “Loved More”.

A release party for this album is also scheduled to be held at GrassRoots in Yokohama, Kanagawa on Sunday, July 28th.

This is his first release in seven years.

I never imagined that I would become such good friends with Pedestrian, a senior student I didn’t like in junior high school, and that I would even produce a work with him.

I’m grateful to him for not giving up on me even during the period when I wasn’t releasing any songs and continuing to say, “Let’s do it.”

Although I have struggled with the changes in my environment as I have gotten older, I have put together what I can say and convey now in my own words.

Ada and I have been working together on events and making music together for a long time in our hometown of Zushi, and these three songs are full of the human element, the way we feel, the way we see things, and our attitude towards life, as the world isn’t full of good vibes.
