“Music Lane Festival Okinawa 2025” to be held from Koza, Okinawa to Asia and beyond

The international showcase festival “Music Lane Festival Okinawa 2025” will be held for three days from January 17th (Fri) to 19th (Sun) next year, mainly at the Music Town Otoichiba in Okinawa City (Koza).

Music Lane Festival aims to match artists with music professionals in Asian cities, build a music network between Okinawa and Asia, and create a new music industry originating from Okinawa City (Koza). Based on the traditional style of a circuit-type showcase festival based on an “artist first” approach, this time the festival will expand its conferences, networking, and digital content, aiming to incorporate market elements.

Showcase festivals, such as SXSW, held every March in Austin, USA, are also widely held in Asian cities, and have produced some global success stories.
The artists are selected from among the public, both domestic and overseas (with some booked by the organizers). The selection is based on the quality of the music and performance.
