SARM releases title track "IRiS" from new EP in advance & music video

SARM released their new single “IRiS” today, June 5th (Wednesday). The music video was also released.

SARM, who teamed up with Keiichi Tomita for their previous work “Tefu Tefu,” also drew attention. This is the second release of 2024, and is a pre-release single from their new EP “IRiS,” scheduled to be released on Wednesday, July 3rd. This is SARM’s first ballad song, and it features a dramatic, grandiose, and dynamic sound that makes you feel like you’ve entered the world of a movie.

This is the first MV since “BONBON GiRL” and SARM, who created the concept and worldview of the video, calls himself “Visionary” and the creators active in various fields who gathered for this work are called “Visionary Warriors”, and it is a strange work completed with strong solidarity. Also pay attention to the costumes, which change completely from scene to scene and seem to encompass the splendor and strength of women and various expressions.

The video begins with a chic costume like a guide to the story, with white lace sleeves and a choker, and a black tuxedo-style jacket that at first glance looks like a dress. In the final scene, she wears a colorful dress from YU TANAKA, inspired by Nishikigoi carp, and the video ends beautifully and gorgeously. The costumes are a major highlight, just like the music and the world of the video. The story of a mystical experience that SARM himself has had in dreams since childhood is finally given shape through AI and CG. Why not immerse yourself in this strange and warm worldview?

The EP “IRiS” will include six songs in total, including their representative song “BONBON GiRL,” which has been played over 600 million times on streaming services and social media, as well as “D♡VE QUEEN,” “AI ga shitaino,” the aforementioned “Tefu Tefu,” and a newly recorded song.

In the music video, I was able to express for the first time since I was born the meaning of my birth, which was revealed based on the mystical experiences I had since my childhood. I hope that you will all be able to create the world as you are.
