goethe releases new song “Ghost” Ballad with the theme of “death and charity”

It has been announced that Sapporo-based four-piece band goethe will release their new single “Ghost” on April 26th (Friday).

This song was first performed at an event held last month and was a hot topic, and is said to be a ballad song with the theme of “death and compassion.” The artwork was illustrated by Machida Lina, an illustrator that the members respect, and the illustrations are made into moving artwork on Apple Music.

This work is a ballad. The theme is “Death and Charity”.

I created the lyrics based on the premise of “How do people feel and view the world after death?” while imagining the world after death in my own way.

One ladybug crawls on “you”’s leg, reluctant to leave anything behind.

Before I knew it, my legs had gotten bigger. A favorite food that hasn’t changed since a long time ago.

“You” may be having fun and going out to play, or you may be sleeping tired of crying while searching for ladybirds, but we will never know any of these from close quarters. If that’s the case, I’ll just forget about it, he says.

The ladybird flies away, repeating these things over and over again, feeling reluctant to leave anything behind. Because you can’t stay in the same place.

I drew the lyrics of goethe’s ghost superimposed on a ladybird that flew by.
