Additional Silica Gel performances to be held; guest to be announced at a later date

A new Japan tour for Korean rock band Silica Gel has been added. The show will take place on June 27th (Thursday) at WWW X in Shibuya, Tokyo.

After releasing their latest album “POWER ANDRE 99” in December last year, Silica Gel won three awards at the Korea Popular Music Awards, including “Musician of the Year”. Their three-day solo concert at Jangchung Gymnasium (4,000 capacity) in Seoul in May this year was sold out in one go, showing their success beyond the framework of indie music.

The Japan tour was planned and organized by BiKN, a project that held Japan’s first-ever Asian music showcase in November last year, inviting 20 acts from around Asia. Tickets for the performance, which is scheduled to be held at the same venue on June 26th (Wednesday), sold out immediately after it was announced, generating a huge response.

Tickets for the additional performance will go on general sale from 8:00 PM tomorrow, June 6th (Thursday). If you’re interested, it’s probably best to get your tickets early.
