Saïna, a UK-born artist with Japanese and British roots, releases new song “On My Side” themed around “betrayal”

Saïna, an artist from West London, UK with roots in Japan and the UK, released her new single “On My Side” on Friday, June 7th.

This song, which features a distinctive husky vocal reminiscent of Jorja Smith and Amy Winehouse, was produced by Amsterdam-based Patchwork. The lyrics have a dark R&B beat and a theme of “betrayal.” Following last year’s song “Listen To My Voice,” Japanese lyrics such as “It’s not just now” and “I’m walking alone” are also incorporated.

Saïna will soon be releasing a new EP, “Out of Sync,” which explores themes such as falling out of love, distant memories, and the loneliness felt in today’s world where there are so many virtual connections.
