Sapporo-based newcomer Tatsuru Sakuma releases his first song “After Hood” and music video

Tatsuru Sakuma, a rising artist based in Sapporo, Hokkaido, released his first single “After Hood” on Friday, June 7th. The music video was also released.

Tatsuru Sakuma started making music in earnest after providing beats for a friend’s video work. This is his first official release, and a lead single from his EP, which is scheduled to be released in July. He did everything himself, from the beats to the mix and mastering, and the work expresses the suffocating feeling of the city and social anxiety that he feels because he lives in Hokkaido, a place rich in nature.

The music video was directed, filmed and edited by his longtime friend Shohei Uda, and the styling was done by Tatsuru Sakuma himself.
