Rapper MÖSHI releases new song “IMPROVISE” on wau

Rapper MÖSHI released his new single “IMPROVISE” today, Wednesday, June 12th, through the creative label wau.

Continuing from the previous work “FILTERING”, the production is handled by Reo Anzai, who is also known under the name Sakepnk. The song is based on UK garage, but with an alternative arrangement. The artwork was created by KURI, who has worked in a wide range of fields, including artist visuals, artwork, film, and stop-motion animation.

Also, there will be a release party with Sakepnk at Solfa in Nakameguro, Tokyo on Saturday, July 6th. Be sure to check it out.

[MÖSHI comment]

While listening to the cymbal legato of the beat sent by Reo Anzai, I thought of various jazz musicians. I’m sure I’m not the only one who has been fascinated by the art that musicians create by reacting to each other in an improvised way in that moment. “Like jazz” may be an overly beautiful analogy, but I think my life, in which I have made bold decisions and ways of life repeatedly without hesitation, is in a sense improvisational. I enjoy this uncertain life that seems haphazard when viewed from a bird’s-eye view, and I want to continue living with improvisation in my heart. I would be happy if this song can affirm the way of life of someone who has gone off the rails even a little.
