Doul releases new song “INSOMNIA” and music video, produced by Gimgigam

Doul released his new single “INSOMNIA” today, June 12th (Wednesday). The music video was also released.

Doul is an artist who freely flies between music, fashion, and art from the 1960s to the present. This new song, his first in about half a year, was co-produced by Gimgigam and features a mixture of industrial sounds, powerful beats, and heavy guitar riffs.

The lyrics express Doul’s anxiety and stress in a realistic way. It depicts a dark worldview. The music video, directed by ~~, features Doul himself as well as 10 other performers, including dancers, skaters, parkour riders, and BMX riders. It’s a work overflowing with energy.

This is the first release in half a year. Gimgigam’s ideas and D’s style collided to create this amazing song.
This song also helped me to understand once again how much fun it is to express my emotions in lyrics. I think I was able to create a heavy sound that resonates in the heart by adding thickness to both the guitar and melody. It’s a new piece while still retaining a nostalgic feel. I especially want to get everyone excited about the chorus at the live show! Love ya!!!

I spent my youth surrounded by rock, but recently I was feeling like I was starting to lose touch with it, when I heard a song by Doul.
The moment I heard it, those days came back to me, and ideas came to me one after another, making it a very stimulating and enjoyable production.
It’s definitely cool to see it live.
