Kani Ningen releases the first album of his experimental solo project, “Nami wo kugau”

Kani Ningen will release their new single “Nami wo Sukuu” on Wednesday, June 19th.

Kani Ningen is a musician from Kyoto. His first album “yolkwhite,” released at the end of 2022, also attracted attention. Kani Ningen has developed a unique sound that combines jazz artists and tracks, but this work is a completely solo recording. While working on art events, stage music, fashion show music, etc., he returned to his roots in contemporary art, and this song was born.

The artwork was done by contemporary artist Miyo Ogawa, just like the previous album. Mixing and mastering was done by KUROMAKU, who works as a producer, beat maker, and mix/mastering engineer for hip-hop artists such as DADA, ZERRY, and 018, as well as artists such as Maito Shimizu.

In addition, the second single from the solo project is scheduled to be released soon, and the song will be performed in a live performance combining contemporary dance with the unit Unfum over three days from Friday, September 20th to Sunday, September 22nd at the Toyooka Theater Festival 2024.
